The move

It is official. We are out of our 27th St house.

It wasn’t as sad as I thought it would be. It was hard to say good-bye to our neighbors, but all the packing and loading and packing and loading allowed me to have more of  a feeling of “are we done with this YET?” attitude. For those interested, no, I do not recommend moving when you have 3 children aged 4 and under. Really the 3 and 4 year olds didn’t hinder the process as much as the 6 months old. Boy, that sweetie man loves to be held and hates to.. well, not be held. There is no way anything would have been packed if it was’t for friends and family helping us with cuddling Keaton. Thank you!!!

We are now in our “temporary house” as the boys call it and we are so blessed to have it. It is frustrating not having all of our stuff and realizing throughout the day what I have misplaces or packed in the wrong box, but I can only imagine how much more difficult it would have been if we had to move in with friends or family of rate next few weeks. Here we have 3 bedroom and plenty of space for the kids to spread out with their toys.

Carter and Coen are sharing a room and it is going surprising well! I thought there would be a lot of whispering, but instead there is just a bit of tattling on Coen. Coen wants to whisper and gossip and Carter is having NONE of it. Bedtime is serious business for him. Shoot. Another flashback to my past: begging Mom to put me to bed because it was passed my bedtime already thank-you-very-much! There is still hope that we will start to see more Daddy in that one!

Added “bonus” of the temporary house, it is 3 streets away from train tracks.

The real bonus? It is RIGHT on the Columbia River. I’ll have to get a picture of the view from our room to share!
