Moved in

I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted. Can I even get caught up? Probably not, but I’ll give you the highlights.

We moved into our new home and will never ever, ever, ever move again with a child younger than 2. I have no idea how I did this when Carter was just barely one, but these boxes are never ending. Maybe it is because there are WAY more boxes when you are a family of 5?

Keaton has mastered sitting and is on to trying to crawl! He can get up on all fours and rock back and forth. He also thinks he can walk and will try to scoot off your lap to the floor when your holding him. He is talking all the time, mostly “ba-ba-ba”. He is adorable and we cannot get enough of him!

Coen started at school again and is doing AMAZINGLY well! No behavior issues! Shoot. Did I just jinx him?

Carter is doing well. It seems that we thought we missed the terrible 2s and 3s, but he was just delaying it until the big 4s. Oh, this child. Sweet and sensitive and oh do dramatic.  Hopefully it is just all the changes and things will go back to normal for him soon.

The big boys are sharing a room and it was no big deal. Really. The only issue we have is when Coen tries to whisper and play with Carter and Old Man Carter rears his ugly head to tattle that Coen is talking. Live a little, Little Man. Have I mentioned that I wish he had more Daddy in him than Mommy?

I think those are the highlights.

Now, pictures.

I’m my mom’s daughter so, while I should have been unpacking boxes, I was mentally painting rooms, removing popcorn ceiling, adding knobs to cabinets, the list is endless. Enter Mom herself. She came to “help me unpack” and instead, we busted out a quick change in the kitchen nook!

The after, not done, but mid-process

I kind of hate showing it like this. In-person it looks awesome, but it is far from done. We switched out the white curtain rod for oil rubbed bronze (thank you Krylon), burlap curtains for less than $15 total replaced the green and white curtains, and we painted the back wall with chalkboard paint. Soon it will host an inspirational quote or a grocery list. The clipboards on the table will join others across from the windows to showcase the boys’ latest and greatest school work.

More to come when I can find baby-free time!
